Dominic Blais will recap on the campaigns as pilots

Listen as two magazine publishers

  • share how they see using social media to help them achieve their purpose

The session will continue with some notes on running your ongoing presence and planning future campaigns, plus using statistics to guide your activities.

Develop your public speaking skills.

Helen Dyrkacz, CSP CTDP CMA

President, Leadership & Beyond

Have you ever been asked to stand up in public and say a few words? Did you stumble over your facts, mispronounce your own name, and generally sit down afterwards with a healthy blush on your cheeks? Are you shy about picking up the phone to cold call and ask for an advertising order, sponsorship or a donation to your business? Attend this interactive session with Helen Dyrkacz, President of Leadership and Beyond, to bump up your speaking skills and project yourself with increased confidence.

Helen will talk about and help you with

  • Persuasiveness
  • Thinking on your feet
  • Addressing objections
  • Handling Q’s and A’s
  • Building relationships

The program will be interactive, which will give participants an opportunity to develop their speaking skills. The program will also be video’d (although you will have a chance to be excluded if you wish). But really, this is a confidence challenge to be overcome so we recommend you take the chance of practising in a “safe” environment. If you lack confidence facing advertisers and sponsors, this session will be a real help.

Helen has a passion for learning and has a Certificate in Adult and Continuing Education (CACE) and is a Certified Training and Development Professional (CTDP).

In 2015 Helen was recognized as a Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) by the National Speaker’s Association in Washington, DC. The CSP is an internationally recognized standard for professional speakers that is demonstrated through competencies in keynote speaking, training and facilitating. Approximately 12% of worldwide speakers currently hold this professional designation

Helen is also an active member of the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers (CAPS), International Federation For Professional Speakers (IFFPS), Canadian Society of Training and Development (CSTD), and Toastmasters International.

Each session is $20 members, $25 non-members, except for the Social Media session which is free to MMPA members who participated in the recent Social Media campaign.
